We are getting ready to wrap up our unit on Genetics and Heredity. On Wednesday, the students will work on an internet activity based on meiosis in the computer lab. Then on Thursday, we will have a test on the unit. Students should be studying for the test.
Sixth grade Science

We just wrapped up the Volcano Unit. It really stretched out, because the Science Fair landed right in the the middle. The students worked really hard on the Volcano Videos. They were great! Now, we are going to start studying Rocks and Minerals. On Wednesday in the computer lab, the students will work on an internet activity based on this subject. This should be an interesting unit.

Hello everyone,
We began our day with Music practice for Mass tomorrow for Ash Wednesday. It is at 9:30 and feel free to join us.
We did Religion and tonight they have Family Times pgs. 183, 184 Read the “Prayer of the Week” daily as a family and choose one other activity that you can do together as a family. Do p. 185 and worksheet 14a.
English: workbook p. 90 English Test Unit 5 on Thursday 2/23
Math: 11.3 show all work on a separate piece of paper
Presidents word search due Thursday
Science: use the notes that you copied from the front board.
In today’s Brown Envelope there is a flier for Panera Bread for next Tuesday from 12- 8pm. Please bring the flier with you next week and the school will receive 20% of the sales. Enjoy!!!

Mass on Ash Wednesday at 9:30. Please discuss with your child the importance of Lent. We will be discussing, filling in Lenten calendars ( with ideas ) etc. and addressing this important season as we prepare for Easter.

Thank you to everyone who got their food items in today. The other items are due by 8 Tuesday morning.
A Packet Cover and newsletter are in the work folder sent home today. I had hoped to get them out to you yesterday, but did not quite make it in time. Permission slips for using a glue gun were sent home yesterday.
