We anticipate a tuition increase of 4-5% for next year.

OLA TECH TEAM – Attention parents… we are assembling a Tech Committee to help us move forward with technology for our students.  We are looking for parents and parishioners who have tech expertise to be a part. A goal will be to develop an OLA 5-year Technology Plan and put it into action. We will assess where we are now, set plans for the future and plan funding to get there.  We plan to have our first meeting in February.  If you are interested in being a part of the team, please email Pat at pgroff@olaventura.org.

VALENTINE TEDDY GRAMS – Student Council will be selling Valentine Teddy Grams beginning this Wednesday, Feb. 8 for $3 each, and will continue daily while supplies last.  Students can purchase a teddy gram in the classroom, the office, or during lunch. Student Council will be selling them at lunch on Wed, Feb. 8, Thursday, Feb. 9 and Monday, Feb. 13. Parents can also purchase them in the office. Thank you for supporting our Student Council!

CUB SCOUTSCongratulations David Berdahl and William McReynolds from Our Lady of the Assumption Cub Scout Pack #3192 who earned their Religious Emblem award.  The Parvuli Dei award helps third through fifth grade boys become more aware of God’s presence in their daily lives… in the home, parish, community and Scouting.

VALENTINE DANCE NEXT TUESDAY – Our 6th, 7th and 8th graders will have a Middle School Valentine Dance next Tuesday, February 14, from 12:30 – 2:40 PM.  It is a full day of school, and students bring their lunch.  The dress code is “dressy” and the details of the dance dress code are being sent home today.

BOXTOPS THIS FRIDAY – The Boxtop collection day this month will be Friday Feb 10th.For each 10 boxtops turned in your student will get a chance at a Target gift card.  We are looking for a boxtops coordinator for next year. If interested, call Debby Mooney at 659-1029. It’s a great way to earn parent hours & earn $ for our school.

HELP NEEDED – We could still use some parents to assist with lunchtime supervision every day.  It’s easy to do and fun, AND it earns you a Parent Hour.  Haven’t helped us before?  Just be here by 12 Noon any day, sign in as a visitor, and join us back in the lunch area.

SPORTS NEWS:  Games continue for our Boys and Girls teams! The game and practice schedules for the basketball teams are posted on the bulletin board in the school hallway.
