Today we celebrate the feast of St. Valentine, an early saint of the church. We celebrate at school with valentines and small gifts for each other, along with warm wishes to our classmates. Our Middle School students will have a dance this afternoon, sponsored by Student Council.
We also think of others on this day. Our fourth and fifth graders made special valentine cards for the wonderful veterans who live at the Ventura Veterans Home. We thanked them for their service and sacrifices for our country. The cards were delivered yesterday, and they were very pleased and grateful to receive them.
Valentine’s Day is a great occasion to remember our call to love and serve others, as we love God! HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!
