The Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper begins at 7 PM and includes a procession of the Blessed Sacrament to the Altar of Repose, commemorating Jesus in the tomb. Students who made their First Holy Communion last year are invited to wear their First Communion clothes and lead this procession from church. On Good Friday, Solemn Liturgy of Good Friday is at 5:30 and 7:15 PM. On Saturday, Easter Vigil begins at 7:30 PM with the lighting of the new fire. Easter Sunday masses will be at 8 AM, 9:30 AM (children’s mass in the St. Bonaventure gym), 11 AM, 12:30 PM (Spanish) and 5:15 PM. REMINDER OF SCHOOL POLICY ON STUDENT USE OF CELL PHONES –“ Students are strongly discouraged from having a cell phone with them at school. If parents wish their child to have a phone in their possession for after-school use, the phone must remain turned off and in the student’s backpack during school hours. Students should use the school office phone if there is an emergency during the school day. They may not use their cell phone to call or text. Any student who is found to have a cell phone in their possession during the school day will have it confiscated by school staff. The cell phone will be held in the principal’s office until a parent picks it up. The student may forfeit his/her privilege to have a phone at school throughout the rest of the school year.” (from the OLA Student Handbook)
NOTE: Students may not take out their cell phone after school until they have exited the building. While waiting to be picked up outside, students may text or call a parent once, but may not be on their cell phones for any other reason.
