NON-UNIFORM DRESS REWARD: For the Read-A-Thon, one of the incentives for getting those early pledges signed up was TWO non-uniform dress days. Teachers will have lists of the students who qualified.

BIRTHDAY TREATS/FOOD – An ongoing policy at our school is that we refrain from bringing food to school to celebrate birthdays and events. Thank you for your support.
PARKING LOT DISMISSAL REMINDERS:
- For safety reasons, we are calling students’ names, not having them run out to you when they see you.
- We ask that every driver use one of the visor tags in their car for the pick-up lane.
- Please do not drive in the OUT lane of the Dunning driveway.
- If you are walking up to pick up your child, please go to the end of the line.
STUDENTS WHO WALK/RIDE BIKES/TAKE THE BUS – All students who have had a note on file with parental permission to walk after school are today receiving a form to have parents sign and return. The archdiocese requires that parents use this form to give permission for their students to walk, ride bikes or go to a bus stop after school. Please complete and return the form to our office. Thank you.
ACCELERATED READING NEWS – AR testing is in full swing. If you would like to receive emails on your child’s AR progress please send your name, child’s name and the email address you would like used to Mrs. Smithson at firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be notified every time your child takes an AR test and what their results were.
INTERESTED IN HELPING WITH DISMISSAL IN THE AFTERNOON? WE WILL BE TRAINING SEVERAL PARENTS TO ASSIST IN OUR PARKING LOT AS NEEDED. THIS COUNTS FOR PARENT HOURS. CONTACT OUR OFFICE IF YOU ARE INTERESTED.
LUNCH HELPERS NEEDED: We invite parents to come and assist with supervision at lunchtime (12 Noon until 12:45 PM). Consider coming at lunch ANY FULL SCHOOL DAY. Sign in by the office, pick up a Lunch Helpers Guide, wear a name tag, and go out to the lunch area. Each lunch period earns ONE PARENT HOUR. We ask that all parents assisting at lunch or in a classroom take the Virtus Protecting God’s Children class offered regularly by the parish. The training is good for four years.
VIRTUS TRAINING – The next Virtus training for volunteers who work with or volunteer with children will be this Thursday, October 5 from 6 – 9 PM in classroom 8 of the school.
