Our
Lady of the Assumption School is a Catholic elementary in the Archdiocese
of Los Angeles. We offer an excellent education to students in
grades kindergarten through 8. At OLA, Catholic values are taught
in a loving faith environment.

- STUDENT COUNCIL
Students in grades 6, 7 and 8 in good academic
standing are eligible to run for student office. Elections are
held each Spring, with teacher-supervised voting used to selectthe
officers. Our Lady of the Assumption Student Council is a member
of the Catholic Association of Student Councils. Specific objectives
for Our Lady of the Assumption Student Council are: 1) To promote
leadership; 2) To foster principles of democracy in action during
the campaigning and election of student officials; 3) To give
students a chance to create projects to benefit their fellow
students and their school. Meetings are held regularly throughout
the school year. Students wishing to serve on Student Council
must earn and maintain a “C-” average (70%) in all
scholastic subjects, conduct and effort.
