Greetings OLA Families!
This week may be a short week but it is packed with learning and activities. School Families will get together to make Valentine’s. We are looking forward to our Valentine’s Day parties in Preschool through 5 grade and our Middle School Dance!  Please remember there will be no school on Friday, February 14, and Monday, February 17.

We enjoyed a successful Science Fair.  Our students received so many wonderful compliments from how well they were dressed to the caliber of the presentations. Judges from last year commented on the confidence and poise the students showed in presenting their projects.

From the Desk of the Principal ... January 28, 2020

Happy Catholic Schools  Week! As a school, we have a wonderful week of service planned.  Students in grades K-2 will be walking to Treacy Villa to share songs and read poems. Grades 3, 4, & 5 plan to do a lunch table clean up on Wednesday.  Our Middle School and the Student Council with the help of our OLA community are building hygiene bags for the homeless to be distributed at Catholic Charities and the new homeless shelter called the Arch.

Thank you to all OLA families that were able to participate in the December 6th Fundraisers -Barnes & Nobel, RedBrick Pizza, & YogurtLand.  I enjoyed reading in the children’s corner. As we enter into the second week of Advent I offer this prayer of Peace:  

Dear Jesus, you entered our world on Christmas as the Prince of Peace. This Advent, as we strive to become the-best-version-of-ourselves, fill us with a deep and abiding peace. Help us share that peace with everyone we encounter, especially those who need it most. Amen.
