As we enter into the third week of Advent I offer this prayer of Joy:  

Dear Jesus, help us focus on you during this busy season. May we stay aware of the joy you bring into our lives.  We want to find you in the everyday moments and come with hearts of gratitude to your manger on Christmas. Amen

OLA School & Parish 5k & 1K Fun Run:  This is the last week to sign up.  The price goes up on Christmas day.  Sign up at See you there🏃!

OLA Toy Drive-  Thanks to OLA Families and Parishioners!  We collected a little over 400 toys that were distributed to families in our community.  Thank you for helping families bring the cheer of Christmas to their families this Christmas. 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁

Movie Night Update:  We have moved  Movie Night to Friday, January 10.  Tickets are available. If you need the ticket and food order form they are available in the school office.


OLA Church  Volunteers Needed- We need adult and high school students volunteers to help in the church nursery, which provides care for children ages 6 months - 56 years during the 9:30 am Mass on Sundays. 

  • Each volunteer typically serves one 1 -2  shifts per month period
  • Bi-weekly, monthly, and substitute positions are available.
  • Service hours are available for students.
  • Adult volunteers must complete VIRTUS - Protecting God’s Children training and be fingerprinted through the diocese. Both are provided through the Parish.

Protecting God’s children is the initial VIRTUS training session required for adults who come into contact with children in their ministries.  The program covers the requirements for an effective prevention program. The training is good for four years. We ask that all school volunteers take the training.  For questions, call Dea Boehme at (805) 390-1260.  It is also recommended that parent volunteers be Livescanned for the school.
