From the Desk of the Principal…November 17, 2020

Happy Thanksgiving! We are so very thankful and grateful for our school community, our families, teachers, and staff.  We are thankful for the leadership of Father Leon, Fr. Joe, and all the Deacons and his clerical staff.  I offer this prayer of gratitude  for our OLA community:

Thank you,

Father, for having created us and given us to each other in the human family. Thank you for being with us in all our joys and sorrows, for your comfort in our sadness, your companionship in our loneliness. Thank you for yesterday, today, tomorrow, and for the whole of our lives. Thank you for friends, for health, and for grace. May we live this and every day conscious of all that has been given to us. For the growth of your Church, For peace and love in our homes, And for salvation for all.

We pray through Christ our Lord.

family traveling in a carAs we head into the holiday season traveling to visit loved ones is high on the list.  Unfortunately our County and Country are experiencing a surge in COVID cases.  For the safety of our families and our school community I am recommending the following guidelines for travel;

Travel Guidelines

Currently, the  CDPH recommends that travel be limited to needed travel only and that individuals who travel monitor themselves for symptoms for 14 days after returning from travel, they can return to school/work.  At this time, CDPH  does not require a quarantine unless the travel was to an area with a wide community spread.  Please check the areas’ cases you are planning to travel to in the last 7 days.  If the areas are high risk areas, a plan to quarantine at home quarantine is required and your child(ren) will be able to Live Stream. As a school I am asking our community to practice safety as you travel this holiday season.

During your trip, take steps to protect yourself and others from COVID-19:
