Welcome to Week 2 of Advent~ Peace
God of power and mercy open our hearts in welcome. Remove the things that hinder us from receiving Christ with joy so that we may share his wisdom and become one with him when he comes in glory, for he lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.
This week we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception Today. Father Leon and Deacon Don visited each classroom and led the class in a Eucharist prayer service.

Retake Picture Day is Coming
Wednesday, December 9, 2020
Did your student miss picture day: Order forms are available in the school office for those who are getting pictures taken for the first time. Pictures will begin around 8 AM. We will call students by class.
Unhappy with your first-day portraits?
Return the original photo package with your student and we will gladly re-take their portrait at no charge. A brief note written on the outside of your order envelope detailing your reason for the re-take request will help us provide a more satisfactory portrait. On picture day, all State and CDC recommended protocols will be followed in including requiring our photographers to wear face coverings, ensuring safe distancing and disinfecting surfaces. To stay as contactless as possible, please place your portrait orders online. Many backgrounds and portions are available & whether you place your order online or return an envelope to the school, all package options & prices are the same.
Thank you to all who participated in the Sharky’s and Urbane Cafe fundraiser. We earned $225.00 from Sharky’s and $265.00 from Urbane Cafe. Please remember that tomorrow is the last day to order online for our Barnes & Noble fundraiser.
Jingle All the Way Raffle
Thank you all for doing such a tremendous job. We have about ½ of our school families that have returned their money and tickets. Remember all tickets and money are due no later than Dec. 16th. Remember that this is a required fundraiser and all families are required to sell their 20 tickets. We have more tickets in the office if you want more. Sell! Sell! Sell!
Thank you all!
The family winner for the December 7th drawing is the Colitti Family! Congratulations! Our final drawing will be on December 14th.
Mass at OLA Church: As you may have experienced during the morning drop-off our parishioners have started to attend Daily Morning Mass in our Marian Plaza weekdays due to the restrictions in place by the State and local health departments upon moving back to the Purple tier. Students will not be attending the Mass with the community. Thank you for your support of our parish.
Office Hours: The best times to conduct school business in the office are 8:30 to 12:00, 12:40 to 2:15, and 3:00 - 3:30. Please do not come in during dismissal. We are calling students for pick-up and are unable to give you uninterrupted attention.

As we head into the holiday season traveling to visit loved ones is high on the list. Unfortunately our County and Country are experiencing a surge in COVID cases. For the safety of our families and our school community I am recommending the following guidelines for travel;
Currently, the CDPH recommends that travel be limited to needed travel only and that individuals who travel monitor themselves for symptoms for 14 days after returning from travel, they can return to school/work. At this time, CDPH does not require a quarantine unless the travel was to an area with a wide community spread. Please check the areas’ cases you are planning to travel to in the last 7 days. If the areas are high-risk areas, a plan to quarantine at home quarantine is required and your child(ren) will be able to Live Stream. As a school, I am asking our community to practice safety as you travel this holiday season.
During your trip, take steps to protect yourself and others from COVID-19:
Register for EDC~ Please contact the school for a registration packet.
