Joy third week of Advent

Welcome to Week 3 of Advent~Joy

The third week of Advent is known as Gaudette Sunday. On Sunday we lit the third candle, the rose candle.  Rose vestments were worn to emphasize our joy that Christmas is near~  "Rejoice: the Lord is nigh." As Christmas draws near, the Church emphasizes the joy which should be in our hearts over all that the birth of our Savior means for us.

Lord Jesus

Master of both the light and the darkness, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations for Christmas. We who have so much to do and seek quiet spaces to hear your voice each day, We who are anxious over many things look forward to your coming among us. We who are blessed in so many ways long for the complete joy of your kingdom. We whose hearts are heavy seek the joy of your presence. We are your people, walking in darkness, yet seeking the light. To you, we say, “Come Lord Jesus!”

christmas tree on carTravel Guidelines

As we head into the holiday season traveling to visit loved ones is high on the list.  Unfortunately our County and Country are experiencing a surge in COVID cases.  For the safety of our families and our school community I am recommending the following guidelines for travel;

Currently, the  CDPH recommends that travel be limited to needed travel only and that individuals who travel monitor themselves for symptoms for 14 days after returning from travel, they can return to school/work.  At this time, CDPH  does not require a quarantine unless the travel was to an area with a wide community spread.  Please check the areas’ cases you are planning to travel to in the last 7 days.  If the areas are high-risk areas, a plan to quarantine at home quarantine is required and your child(ren) will be able to Live Stream. As a school, I am asking our community to practice safety as you travel this holiday season.

During your trip, take steps to protect yourself and others from COVID-19:
