"Fund the Classroom" for Catholic Schools Week!

Catholic Schools Week begins on Sunday, January 31st, and ends on Saturday, February 6th.  Help us celebrate our OLA teachers' Catholic vocation by “Funding their Classrooms” during Catholic Schools Week!  Each teacher has created a wish list of items they need for their classroom in AmazonSmile.  We encourage you to browse these lists and if you feel inspired, please purchase an item for your teacher’s classroom and have it shipped directly to the school!  These lists are similar to a wedding or baby registry.  Once the item is purchased, it will be removed from the wish list.

Please find Our Lady of the Assumption School’s AmazonSmile Charity List at the following link.  There is a sub-list for each grade.

If you find that the list you are interested in is empty/all items have been purchased or you don’t see any items that you would like to purchase, another great option is to send an Amazon gift card directly to your teacher!  You can do this through our OLA School Scrip program (so you will get a triple bang for your buck!! AmazonSmile, Scrip, and a benefit for the teachers)!  You can purchase an electronic Amazon gift card or a physical Amazon gift card through Scrip.  Please contact Mrs. Ravenscroft in the school office for more information.  You can do this any time during Catholic Schools Week or throughout the year!

Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to remind you to sign up for AmazonSmile if you have not already done so and select “Our Lady of the Assumption School” in Ventura, CA as your charity.  Make it a habit to always shop through, and 0.5% of your eligible purchases will automatically be donated to the school!  This is the easiest fundraiser you will ever do!!  Just change your website “Favorites" link to AmazonSmile or turn on AmazonSmile on the Amazon app on your phone (click the 3 bars in the bottom right, go to Settings, tap AmazonSmile, and follow the on-screen instructions to turn on AmazonSmile on your phone), and continue shopping as you normally do!

Thank you for supporting our wonderful teachers and school during Catholic Schools Week!!

If you have any questions about AmazonSmile or the “Fund the Classroom” teacher wish lists on the AmazonSmile Charity Lists, please contact Amber McCalister at (805) 320-5911 or
