Student Council:

This Lenten season Student Council is participating in a program called The Pillars of Lent.  The Pillars of Lent are Prayer, Fasting, and Almsgiving.  The Student Council will lead the school in different activities to enrich the Lenten experiences for our students. These activities will take place Tuesday through Thursday.  Some activities will be fasting from negative words, acts of kindness,  student-led prayer or drawing their favorite Saint or Bible figure. I invite you to ask your children what lent activity they participated in on those days.

See's Candy

See’s order forms and money is due this Thursday, March 18. This fundraiser is not a mandatory event. This is just for your convenience if you wish to avoid the stores and earn money for OLA.   Please make checks payable to OLA. We can’t accept any late orders as we need to make sure our order is delivered before our Easter Break.

All candy will be delivered before we leave for the Easter break.

Catholic Educaiton Foundation

Please note this year CEF will not be sending out the pre-filled forms. All families need to complete the forms this year if they are planning to seek funding from CEF.  Please note all appointments will be via Zoom.

This year our school is participating in the virtual processing of CEF applications. Please know you may still pick up applications in the school office and they are available to download on the school website.   The Zoom Virtual Application Processing for our school is on May 13, 2021.

In order to continue to work towards streamlining the CEF Application process and in an attempt to ease some of the burdens of the process for our School partners, CEF will be implementing an Online Appointment system for the Cycle 3 Process. Through this process, it is our hope that this online appointment system will make it easier on our partner schools not just in terms of the initial sign-up of appointments but also save them time via email & text reminders for parents.

Below is a walk-through of how parents can set up their appointments with CEF via our new Online System.

  • At the CEF Home page, on the top menu bar hover over the CONTACT US link and a drop-down menu will appear, SELECT "TAP Appointments"
  • SELECT “CLICK HERE” on the "TAP Appointments" webpage (Make sure to turn off any “Pop-up Blockers”)
  • SELECT “Next” on the Welcome Screen
  • Choose a Location where your students will be attending (ELEMENTARY SCHOOL) and SELECT “Next"
  • Choose a Time to meet with CEF Representatives and SELECT “Next”
  • Enter in your information to reserve your appointment (Make sure to enter your Cell and Email in order to get text and email reminders) and SELECT “Save”
  • Please fill out the Digital Application before your Appointment, DO NOT fill out a paper application if you will be submitting it through Zoom. Once you join the Zoom Meeting the CEF representative will provide you with an email address where you will email your completed application.

A reminder for parents attending the virtual application processing via Zoom: Any parents that miss the virtual application process can turn their applications in thru the school.
