Back to school Blessing

Blessed are you, Lord God, Creator of body and mind and heart; you have sent the  Spirit of wisdom and knowledge to guide your people in all their ways.

At the beginning of this new school year we implore your mercy: bless our families, students, teachers, and staff of our Catholic schools that together we may grow in faith, hope, and love as we learn from you and each other how to follow your  Son, Jesus.

Expand the horizons of our minds, that we may grow in wisdom, understanding, and knowledge; deepen our commitment to seek the truth of your ways, and enliven our faith to reach out to those in need.

We ask this through the intercession of  Our Lady of the Assumption and St. Joseph

We are excited to offer this year a TK program.  Our Transitional Kindergarten is a Catholic, standards-based, Pre-Kindergarten program. It is grounded in a philosophy of discovery and learning through engagement, play, and social interaction. Learning is enriched through reading, games, interactive and dramatic play, music, are, physical activity, and prayer.

COVID Test Site

We are partnering with COVID Testing Appointments, LLC to offer a no-cost COVID -19 Test to our school community and its families.   Their mission is to “Provide No Cost COVID Testing and Services to the masses assisting schools, business, and our communities.”  They provide Rapid Antigen and Rapid Antibody testing which allows you to test in the privacy of your home to determine results.  The Rapid Antibody Test helps you determine if you've had COVID-19.  It is important to note that their laboratory is certified by the Center of Medicare and Medicaid Services. This is referred to as CLIA. This is important because CLIA establishes quality standards to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of the test results regardless of where the test is performed.  Most results are in 24 hours.

I have enclosed the flyers in the Brown Envelope to help you register if you so wish. The testing packets are available in the office.  Our lab pick-up days will be on Wednesdays to start.
