Our Lady of the Assumption

Mrs. Cheryl Cowan » WELCOME!

Welcome, parents!
First, let me start by saying that I am thrilled to be at OLA! This is my 16th year of teaching. After teaching middle school for five years, first grade for eight years and fourth and fifth for one year, I have discovered that middle school is my passion. I also love religion, which is why I have and always will stay in Catholic schools. I also have a passion for history!
I have been married for 24 years and my husband and I have a son, Rhett, who is currently serving in the USMC. We also have a furbaby named Lila, who is the light of our lives and keeps us busy.
I look forward to many years at OLA!
Upcoming Event;
Tuesday, 10/1, the 7th and 8th grade will be attending a retreat at Villanova High School!
October is "Respect Life" month! The students will be creating posters with images and quotes that reflect respect for life from the womb to the tomb!
This Sunday, our school will be serving coffee and donuts to parishioners to thank them for their continued support of our school. This will be after each morning Mass in the OLA plaza. We would love to have as many students there as possible (in uniform) to just say thank you! Our parishioners do so much for our school, from making donations to praying for our students, and we want them to know how grateful we are!
If your family is planning to be at the 8:00, 9:30 or 11:00 Mass this Sunday, please drop Mrs. Colitti a quick email and let her know that you will be there and which Mass you plan to attend.  Her email is
Thank you for all that you do. See you at church this weekend!
Science says that we need at least four basic elements to survive.
1. Water
2. Air
3. Food
4. Light
And look what the Bible tells us about Jesus.
1. I am the Living Water.
2. I am the Breath of Life.
3. I am the Bread of Life.
4. I am the Light of the
Science was right, we need Jesus to live!
