Mission Statement ~ Our Lady of the Assumption School commits based on catholic values sand academic excellence in a caring and safe atmosphere in partnership with the family and parish community.

From the Desk of the Principal~ March 17, 2026

Today, as a school, we had the joy of celebrating Mass with our parish community—a beautiful way to honor St. Patrick’s Day together. The celebration began with the stirring sound of the bagpipes, leading the procession of the Hibernians, along with two of our talented students, Gemma Greaney and Sophia Owens, who processed in wearing their full Irish dance costumes. They looked absolutely beautiful and added a special touch to this meaningful celebration. It was wonderful to see our entire community dressed in green, united in both faith and festive spirit.

On another note, report cards will be sent home today. We are proud of the hard work and growth our students have shown this trimester.

We also look forward to celebrating our students’ accomplishments at our Awards Ceremony this Friday at 1:00 PM. Thank you for your continued support as we recognize the many achievements of our students.

☘️ St. Patrick – Today’s Readings

Jeremiah 1:4–9
Psalm 116 (117): “Go out to all the world and tell the Good News.”
Acts 13:46–49
Luke 10:1–12, 17–20

Today, as we celebrate St. Patrick, the readings remind us of God’s steadfast and faithful love, and His call to each of us to share that love with the world.

In the first reading, we hear Jeremiah’s hesitation: “I am only a child.” Yet God responds with reassurance: “Do not be afraid.” Like Jeremiah, we may sometimes feel unsure or unprepared, but God calls each of us by name and gives us the courage we need.

In the Gospel, Jesus sends out His disciples with very little—no purse, no bag, no sandals—reminding them to rely fully on God. Even so, they are promised protection and reminded that their mission is to bring peace and share the Good News.

St. Patrick lived this mission with great courage. Leaving behind comfort and security, he trusted in God and brought the message of Christ to others.

Today, we are invited to reflect:

  • Do we trust in God’s love, even when we feel uncertain?

  • Are we willing to let go of what holds us back?

  • Can we be brave enough to share a message of love that truly changes lives?

May we, like St. Patrick, step forward in faith, trusting in God’s guidance and sharing His love with all we meet. ☘️
