🌷 Welcome Back!

Dear OLA Families,

Welcome back! We hope you had a restful and joyful Easter Break, filled with peace, family time, and the hope of the Resurrection. As we return to school, we continue to celebrate the joy of the Easter season, a time of new life, renewal, and deepened faith.

It was a true blessing this Easter season to witness new life within our faith community. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our OLA families whose children received the Sacrament of Baptism after preparing through OCIA for children:

  • Parker, Meghan, and Peyton Fink

  • Nico, Luka, and baby brother Theo Martinez

  • Presley Hernandez

We also keep the Fink, Hernandez, and Mendez families in our prayers as they continue their faith journey with us. These beautiful moments remind us of the mission we share—guiding our students not only in their academic growth, but also in nurturing a strong and lasting relationship with Christ.

We are also excited to look ahead to one of our most special community events—our Annual Auction & Dinner, taking place on Friday, April 24. This wonderful evening brings our community together in support of our school, and we look forward to a joyful night of fellowship, generosity, and celebration. Thank you in advance for your continued support in making this event a success.

May this Easter season continue to fill our hearts with joy, hope, and gratitude as we move forward together as a faith-filled community.

Today’s Readings – Trusting in God’s Quiet Grace

Acts 4:32–37
Psalm 91 (92): “The Lord is king; he is robed in majesty.”
John 3:7–15

In today’s Gospel, we encounter Nicodemus, who comes to Jesus in the quiet of the night, searching for understanding. What he receives is not a simple answer, but an invitation—to trust in something greater than his own reasoning.

Jesus speaks of being “born from above,” reminding us that faith is not something we can fully control or explain. Like Nicodemus, we often rely on what we know, seeking certainty and quick answers. In a world where information is always at our fingertips, it is easy to believe we should have everything figured out.

Yet, the deeper truths of life and faith cannot always be “searched” or solved. As Thomas Merton reminds us, “We do not know what we need, and we do not know what we are asking for.”

God calls us instead to trust, to let go of our need for control, and to be open to the quiet work of the Holy Spirit. His grace does not always come in dramatic ways—it often unfolds gently and quietly, shaping our hearts over time.

Today, we are invited to reflect:

  • Where am I holding too tightly to my own understanding?

  • Can I trust God, even when I don’t have all the answers?

  • Am I open to the quiet ways God is working in my life?

May we have the courage to surrender, trusting that God is guiding us with love, even in the unseen moments.Calendar Highlights
