From the Desk of the Principal~ May 5, 2026

Thank you to all of our families for spoiling our teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week. Your kindness, generosity, and thoughtful gestures truly made our faculty and staff feel valued and loved. We are so grateful for your support!

Today, we also celebrated our May Crowning Mass, beautifully hosted by our 8th grade students. This meaningful tradition honoring our Blessed Mother was a truly reverent and special celebration for our school community. We thank our 8th graders for leading us in such a prayerful way.

Please keep our 2nd grade students in your prayers as they prepare to receive their First Holy Communion this Saturday, May 9. This is a very special milestone in their faith journey, and we celebrate this joyful occasion with them and their families.

Finally, Student Progress Reports will be sent home on Wednesday. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child’s growth and success.

Today’s Readings – Allow Jesus to Speak

Acts 14:19–28
Psalm 144 (145): “Your friends tell the glory of your kingship, Lord.”
John 14:27–31

In today’s readings, we hear how St. Paul encouraged the early disciples, putting “fresh heart” into them by acknowledging a simple but powerful truth: “We all have to experience many hardships.” Rather than avoiding difficulty, Paul reminds us that God is present within it.

In the Gospel, Jesus speaks directly to our hearts:
“Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”

These words are both comforting and challenging. In our busy world, it is easy to distract ourselves from worry or discomfort. We may turn to constant activity, noise, or distractions to avoid sitting with our fears. Yet, it is often in the quiet moments, when we slow down, that we can begin to notice that God is already at work within us.

St. Paul’s life was rooted in his relationship with Jesus. Even as he traveled and faced many trials, he also took time to remain, to stay, and to listen. We are called to do the same.

Today, we are invited to reflect:

  • Can I pause and be still, even when life feels uncertain?

  • Am I open to hearing Jesus speak into my worries and fears?

  • Do I trust that His peace is greater than my anxiety?

When we allow Jesus to speak to the places in our hearts that feel unsettled, He offers us a peace that the world cannot give.

✝️ Lord, help us to quiet our hearts, trust in Your presence, and receive the peace You offer us each day. Amen.
