Fidelity: Being Faithful to Promises and Commitments
Fidelity is a virtue closely allied to truthfulness. Its function is to incline a person to the fulfillment of his promises. Truthfulness inclines one to conform his speech to the judgment of his mind, while fidelity disposes him to confirm his deeds to his promises and vows. Fidelity also concerns loyalty: Loyalty first of all to the right of God, to your family, and to all your neighbors.
We are by nature social beings. This means in practice that we are dependent on one upon the other. Since we are dependent, we need to trust each other in order to be able to build necessary social units , such as the family, local community, state, church, etc. If individuals are not truthful, not trustworthy, not faithful to what they say and promise, then the whole social system begins to crack.
So we are to do all that we can to increase our faith. We do Him no favors by following his law, by being faithful to the teachings of the Church he founded. His love for us through salvation history is a complete gift. This is the meaning of grace. Therefore, he owes us nothing but is owed our worship and our constant fidelity. This is why the Psalmist today reminds us, “If today you hear His voice, harden not your hearts.”

Reporting an absence:
If your child will be absent from school, please complete the Absent Reporting form. This form can be found on our app under Documents or on our website under quick links. This will generate a report that is given to teachers daily. Thank

Hot Lunch Information:
Our new hot lunch program is going well! There have been a few menu changes and photos have been added. Make sure to check our OLA School app for the daily special options.
Orders can be placed on the caterer’s website www.kbcateringpreorder.com or the caterer’s app-SBHS Cafe.
We have added the option to access ordering directly from OUR website and app. Look for the “HOT LUNCH” in the upper right corner of our website or the “ORDER HOT LUNCH button on our app.
Here are a couple of tips to ensure your child receives their lunch.
You must choose OLA School when ordering. If you do not choose OLA School a lunch ticket is not printed and processed.
Please use the “special instructions” or “comment” sections to note your child's name and grade.
For any Thursday orders, if your child will have lunch and is staying for EDC, simply list EDC after the name and grade.
When it comes to payment make sure you get a confirmation email that payment has been completed and the order is accepted.
If your child is absent, you must cancel before 9:00 am by texting Kurt @ 805-754-6220
